Rob has expressed, in his usual fine fashion, many of the reasons I support Paul. My first exposure to Paul’s vision and values were when he spoke on the main floor of city hall after the announcement that Red Deer had been named a Cultural Capital in Canada. His passion, his articulateness, and most of all, his ‘let’s get’er done’ attitude was inspiring. His impact on the community already has been significant, and I look forward to his many contributions as a Councillor to the ‘livability’ of Red Deer.

I’m with you, Rob. Same reason that if I ever sell my house, I’ll NEVER use that Richard Whatshisname. You know the one. The guy who sends out a new, glossy flier every day and stuffs my mailbox with crap. He’s the last guy I’d choose for that reason. I admire Paul’s decision not to use signage. There’s nothing uglier.

Totally know where you’re coming from Rob. I thought they were a communications company too. Overbilled me $250, eventually agreed to return the $$, didn’t return the $$, started adding late penalties, wouldn’t answer requests for information, hid behind on-hold phone music for hours at a time… eventually I got their attention enough (via Twitter) to let them know that they were done. As you say, it’s best to avoid getting tied to any of these big non-service-providers…
